Usually failure codes are caused by a faulty timer (aka ERC – the Electronic Range Control). Sometimes, even when the failure code implies that another component has failed, this can actually be a timer problem (whereby the timer is not displaying the correct fault code). If you are not sure whether the code you are seeing is due to a problem with the timer please call us, or send us an email, since we can help you determine whether the failure code is likely a timer problem or a problem with some other component. We can repair most timers so if you are sure your problem pertains to the timer (or ERC) please fill out a repair service request or call us (647) 483-9051.
|Dacor Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes|
|Failure Code||Fault Code Description||Solution|
|F0||Function key stuck||Replace touch pad or if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock (ERC).|
|F1||System Watchdog Circuit||Press “Cancel”, if beeping continues after 30 seconds, replace the main control board (also called clock or ERC).|
|F2||Heating mode high temperature||This alarm is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds “runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm repeats the F2 code check the oven sensor and wiring after first checking for a stuck relay. If alarm goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.|
|F3||Shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD)||Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.|
|F4||Open oven temperature sensor (RTD)||Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.|
|F6||EEPROM checksum error||Replace main control board (also called clock or ERC).|
The main control operates a series of software commands, which control the various features and functions of the oven. Each function or operation has a numerical value assigned to it. The numerical values can be added up – this is called the check sum operation. Every time the system is powered up and after each clean cycle the system performs a check sum and compares the value to the value programmed into the software (stored in memory).
An EEPROM check sum error or F6 code occurs when the values differ. If this happens, replace the main control board (also called clock or ERC).
|F7||Door lock enabled above temperature||Check the door lock switches and wiring.|
|F8||Door locking switch||Check the door lock switches and wiring.|
Disclaimer: please make sure to unplug your appliance if you feel that it is malfunctioning. Consult with an Express Repair professional to prevent any further damage to your appliance.
These error code explanations can help you diagnose a problem with your Dacor dishwasher.
|Three long beeps and red light flashes below the door||Failed to drain||Press Cancel twice to reset. If the error code reappears, clear clogs from the sink drain. Unplug the dishwasher and clear clogs from the dishwasher drain hose and drain pump. If the drain hose or drain pump is damaged, replace it.|
|Cycle stops followed by 3 long beeps and drain pump runs, Floor Guard LED turns on, red light below the door stays on||Water in the base pan (water leak)||Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker to disconnect electrical power. Remove the lower access panel and examine the bottom dishwasher components to find the leak. Replace the leaking components. Remove the water from the base pan of the dishwasher.|
|F2||Water inlet valve won’t shut (keeps filling)||Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker to disconnect electrical power. If the dishwasher continues to fill, replace the water inlet valve. If filling stops when you disconnect power, replace the electronic control board.|
|F3||Low inlet water pressure (long fill time)||If the water supply cut-off valve for the dishwasher is fully open and the dishwasher still fills slowly, shut off the water supply, unplug the dishwasher, disconnect the fill line and check whether the screen in the water inlet valve is clogged. If it’s clogged, replace the water valve—don’t just clean the screen, because debris could fall into the valve body, prevent the valve from closing, and cause flooding. Check the wiring connections on the inlet water valve and secure any loose connections. If the water valve won’t open when activated, replace it.|
|F4||No signal from the water pressure switch||Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker to disconnect electrical power. Remove the lower access panel. Check wire harness connections. Reconnect any loose wires on wire harness for the water pressure switch. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the water pressure switch.|
|F5||Defective electronic control board||Disconnect the electrical power supply from the dishwasher for 3 minutes to reset the electronic control board. If the error code appears after you restore power, replace the electronic control board.|
|F9||Heater failure||Have a service technician examine and repaired the inline flow-through heater.|
